چکیده

Iron(III)-NTA (nitrilotriacetic acid) solution shows high activity for oxidative degradation of 2'-deoxyribose in the presence of hydrogen peroxide, whereas its activity of Fe(III)-TFD A (2-aminomethyltetrahydrofuran-N,N-diacetic acid) is negligible under the same experimental conditions; however the latter solution exhibits abnormally higher reactivity for oxygenation reaction at 8-position of 2'-deoxyguanosine than other iron(III) chelates examined. These results suggest that oxidative degradation of deoxyribose and the oxygenation of deoxy^uanosine are caused by a different iron(III)-peroxide species.

Epoxidation of Alkenes and Oxidation of Alcohols with Hydrogen Peroxide Catalyzed by a Fe (Br8TPPS) Supported on Amberlite IRA-400

Iron (III) meso-tetrakis(p-sulfonatophenyl)-β-octabromoporphyrin supported on Amberlite IRA- 400 [Fe(Br8 TPPS)-Ad-400] is a robust and efficient catalyst for oxidation of alkenes and alcohols at room temperature. The catalyst exhibits a high activity and stability in hydrocarbon oxidation by H2 O2 . The method was useful in the oxidation of various primary, secondary-aliphatic, alicyclic and ar...

Electronic property and reactivity of (hydroperoxo)metal compounds.

DFT calculations were done for the (hydroperoxo)metal complexes with eta1-coordination mode, where metal ions are Fe(III), Al(III), Cu(II) and Zn(II). Results shows that 1) the electron density at the two oxygen atoms of the hydroperoxide ion is highly dependent on the angle O-O-H in M-OOH species and the difference in electron density between the two oxygen atoms reaches a maximum at the angle...

Optimization of Soil Aquifer Treatment by Chemical Oxidation with Hydrogen Peroxide Addition

Trace organic compounds (TrOCs), mostly found in secondary effluents, have a potential impact on the environment, affecting surface water, groundwater, and especially aquatic ecosystems. The present study focuses on oxidation of five selected TrOCs in column experiments, by simulating Soil Aquifer Treatment (SAT) integrated with Fenton-like reaction, using Granular Ferric Hydroxide (GFH) as a c...
